InstaBlend:FAQs

App

 1. Is my photo information safe?

    100% safe!

No login is required. We never collect your data or share your information with any third party.

 2. Why are ads displayed?

Our app is free, and to be able to continuously provide this excellent free service to you, we need to show some ads for revenue.

We're trying to find ways to display ads without disturbing you. Please feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions.

3. It takes too long to enhance a photo.

When enhancing a photo, we first use facial recognition technology to identify faces and    optimise facial details through sophisticated AI algorithms.

Then, multiple processes such as blur improvement, denoising, background remover, cartoon image, sketch, lens blur, brightening, colourizing image, and object remover are performed individually to fully enhance the photo. The whole process may take a while.

We are using specific features like Enhance and Cartoon, which we need to share with a third party (https://cutout.pro) via an API connection to the process. And we make sure this third party also complies with privacy policies. You can see details here.

Enhancement

 1. Are enhancement results not as good as expected?

In most cases, we can guarantee you a good result. But for some particular photos, the enhancement may not be that good.

  •  Photos that are badly damaged, too blurred, or defaced
  •  The outline of the portrait is blurred, or non-portrait parts are framed.
  •  The face in the photo is too blurry, although the photo quality is good enough.
  •  The face area to be recognised in the photo is too small, or the photo pixel is too low.
  • Too large photos, Oversized photos will be automatically compressed to the size that we can process.

What kinds of photos are suitable for enhancement?

💡 Tip

✦ Photos suitable for enhancement:

low resolution, with portraits and old photos

✦ Photos not suitable for enhancement:

high-resolution, badly damaged, with faces that are difficult to recognise
